When a blood test helps
Persistent fever, suspected infection, severe vomiting or diarrhoea, fatigue, chronic condition checks such as diabetes, kidney function or cholesterol, and monitoring of medicines that need regular blood levels.
How it works
The doctor decides which tests you need. A doctor or nurse takes the sample in your room, it goes to a laboratory, and results usually come back the same or next day depending on the test. The doctor then explains what they mean and adjusts treatment.
For residents and long stays
If you live in Istanbul or stay for a long period, we can arrange regular blood tests at home as part of chronic condition follow-up, so you don't have to queue at a hospital laboratory.
Questions
Do I need to fast?
Only for some tests, such as blood sugar and cholesterol. We tell you in advance.
How long do results take?
Most routine results are ready the same or next day.
Will someone explain the results?
Yes. The doctor goes through your results with you and explains what they mean.
