Urgent problems a private doctor can handle
High fever, severe sore throat, vomiting and diarrhoea with dehydration, kidney or urinary pain, ear infections, asthma that is getting worse, allergic reactions without breathing difficulty, migraines, back pain, and minor cuts and burns. Many of these can be treated in your room with medication, injections or IV fluids.
This is not a replacement for an ambulance
Call an ambulance immediately for chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke such as a drooping face or weak arm, heavy bleeding, a serious head injury or loss of consciousness. These need a hospital, not a home visit.
If you write to us and your symptoms point to a hospital, we tell you so straight away, name the nearest suitable emergency department and tell you what to bring.
How an urgent request works
Send us your location and symptoms on WhatsApp or call us. A doctor contacts you quickly, decides with you whether a visit or a hospital is right, and gives you a realistic arrival time. After the visit you receive a medical report and receipt for your insurer.
Urgent care for children and older people
Children and older people can become dehydrated or unwell faster. We take this into account when we triage your request and we tell you clearly if the safer choice is a hospital.
Questions
How fast can an urgent doctor arrive?
It depends on the district, the hour and bridge traffic. We always give you an honest estimate before the doctor leaves.
What if I need a hospital?
We tell you which emergency department suits your case, how to get there and what to bring, including your passport and insurance details.
Do you work on holidays and weekends?
Yes, every day of the year, day and night.
